Here they are… the books I’ve been working with through 2022–2023, all finally out the printers – happy days!
TIHKU is the first book in new Kutikuti anthology series, presenting 12 Finnish contemporary comic artists. The book is (or will be soonish) out in English (Living The Line), French (La 5e Couche) and Finnish (Zum Teufel). I’ve been part of the editorial team along Hannele Richert and Heikki Rönkkö, while Benjamin Bergman worked out the design. The twelve works are carefully edited into a wholesome of 104 pages with two tones. Comes with a different cover for each language edition. The US edition is currently available for backing in Kickstarter so feel free to help LTL and the release of the whole serie (that’s planned to be four books).
SARJAKUVAN PAIKKA (engl. ‘The Room / Space of Comics’) is a book written by Ville Hänninen defining the current state of comic art in Finland, with focus on contemporary comics and how our dear field is fit in art scene in general. I worked with this as the planner and later producer. The book is in Finnish (as it’s meant for the structures around comics in Finland). Includes essays from Ilan Manouach (AI in comics), Aarnoud Rommens (contemporary comics around the world) and me (contemporary comics in Finland). 112 pages full of information, printed with to tones with graphic design by Eeva Meltio.
Future and the merely textual book on Samuel I’ve already posted about so no more about them.
Anyway, really glad to have all of these out. 648 pages and a lot of work. Thanks to all the authorities who made the projects possible with funding. Cheers to the translators, letterers and everyone involved as well.
New projects ahead! Ahoy!

Some samples on the new Future#9 magazine. This 2nd last issue of the series presents ‘The Exhibition’ of the bohemian bunch that the reader has seen building something through the back issues. Features horrible nightmare, our magician making his final decision, evening in Centra and a very smiley future. The wholesome is getting to its end, or does it?
One issue to go and my aim is that it’ll be out in January ’23. If you’re interested in ordering this or the past issues (just reprinted #4 so it’s all available again) these cost 6€ per mag inclduing shipping. 60€ for the whole 10 magazine series. Just mail me.

Future serie is getting nearer to its end with #8 just out the printers. The storylines are getting wrapped, tied, looped & twisted. In this issue: a new life begins, the rich get poor, science fails to explain our world, the day in Centra falls into night, magic taking place and all that and yet a bit more.
I’ve reprinted #1 again so all the issues (#1–8) are available, directly from me as well (6€ each). My aim is to get the last two issues done this year so stay tuned. I’ll post an updated list of the distributors in a month.
Remember that you can as well still subscribe to it all, ten issues being 60€. If you’re interested in ordering just MAIL ME.
