Finally the first two issues of my new project FUTURE (that’s some weird sci-fi I suppose) are out. 28 pages in Marvel-size, full colour, all in English. Get both from me for 10 Eur / USD. That includes shipping any place on earth. The serie will be ten issues long so we gotta live with it for some time. You may pay by paypal to tommi@boingbeing.com and send me your postal address.

I’ve been working with FUTURE indeed a long time already. What’s taken time is the fact that this is the first wholesome where I’m trying to combine different styles in one book. Basicly I’ve been learning new ways of doing and now using those to illustrate the different timelines, utopias and dystopias of the book. Anyway, it’s sort of mind-tricking net of stories that you are about to dive into. Excited to have it now in public for the first time.

Zeljko_Moral_Thread

There’s a group exhibition in Detroit Gallery (Stockholm) that just opened. Curated by Nina Bačun and Juan Echeverry ‘the aim of (a)moral tread is to generate a bridge between artist and craftsman’. The focus of the exhibition is on Zidnjaci works that’s are Croation emroideries usually made by women, traditionally with sort of ‘moral’ teachings for a housewife. Anyway, craftman Željko Kraščić has worked on several ideas provided by artists from around the world. The idea was to bring this ‘moral’ education onto a new level. The image here shows the piece Željko made basing on my texts – the exhibitions provides more thoughts behind the teachings. The exhibition is open until 20th of July.
